Privacy Policy
Effective October 13, 2026. DirectOS is operated by Creed Media LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“we”), P.O. Box 1844, Eustis, FL 32727. Questions: support@directos.app.
Who this covers
DirectOS is software for field-service businesses. It covers business owners and their team members who use the DirectOS app or website, and the business’s own customers whose information a business keeps in DirectOS. For customer records, the business using DirectOS decides what to collect and why; we process that information on the business’s behalf.
What we collect
- Account: name, email address, password (stored by our authentication provider, never readable by us), business name, type and phone number, and each team member’s role. Owners can add a business logo, description, service area and website; the logo is stored publicly so it can appear on the business card the owner shares.
- Business records: customers’ names, phone numbers, emails and service addresses; property notes such as gate codes and access instructions; jobs, checklists, estimates, invoices, payment records, hours worked, team messages and help requests.
- Text messages: the content of texts a business sends and receives through its business number (a DirectOS-provided number or its own connected Twilio number), and whether each was delivered.
- Texting registration (businesses that get a DirectOS number): the business’s legal name, address, website and tax ID (if it has one), and the owner’s name, title, email and mobile number. We send these to Twilio and the phone carriers only to register the number for business texting.
- Calls (Direct Pro and up, if the business turns calling on): for calls to or from the business number, the phone numbers, time, length and outcome of each call. If a caller leaves a voicemail, the recording stays in the Twilio account behind that business number and a text transcript is stored with the call and shown in that customer’s conversation. Calls are not recorded otherwise.
- Photos: job photos a team member takes or chooses. Photos are stored privately and are visible only to the business’s team.
- Voice notes: the text transcript of a crew voice note. The iPhone transcribes speech on the device when it can; otherwise Apple’s speech recognition service processes the audio.
- Location: only if a business turns on GPS Assist. While a job is in progress, the app uses the device’s precise location to estimate when a visit is finished. We store the resulting suggestion and visit durations, not a location history. Property addresses are converted to map coordinates for scheduling and weather.
- Device: a push notification token for each signed-in device.
- Payments: when a business’s customer pays an invoice, or a business pays for its DirectOS plan, card details are entered with and held by Stripe. We receive the amount, status and Stripe identifiers, not card numbers.
How we use it
Only to run the service: scheduling, invoicing, messaging, payments, notifications, security, and support. We do not sell personal information, show ads, or track people across other companies’ apps or websites.
Text messages
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Mobile numbers are used only to send the service texts a customer agreed to, through the providers needed to deliver them (such as Twilio). Each business that texts through DirectOS also has its own SMS Terms and SMS Privacy Policy, linked from its request form and texts. Reply STOP to any text to opt out. See our SMS Terms.
Service providers
- Supabase — database, sign-in, file storage and server functions (United States).
- Stripe — subscription billing and invoice payments.
- Twilio — text messaging, calls and carrier registration, through a Twilio account DirectOS manages for each business or the business’s own Twilio account.
- OpenAI — on Pro and Elite plans, recent messages in a customer conversation are sent to draft a suggested reply the business reviews, and voicemail recordings are sent to be transcribed.
- Resend — sending email.
- Apple — push notifications and, where used, speech recognition.
- Open-Meteo — weather forecasts for service locations (map coordinates only).
- Vercel — hosting for this website.
Keeping and deleting information
A business owner can delete their account and business from the app (Settings › Account › Delete Account). That cancels their DirectOS subscription and permanently deletes the business’s records and photos. A team member can delete their own account the same way; the business keeps the job and hours records it needs. Encrypted backups are kept for up to 30 days and then deleted. Records of your DirectOS subscription payments are kept by Stripe and by us as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your choices
You can view and correct information in the app, turn off location, camera and microphone access in iOS Settings, and reply STOP to any DirectOS text to stop texts from that business. Customers of a business should contact that business about their records; we will help the business respond.
Children
DirectOS is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We’ll post changes here and update the effective date. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information, such as asking what we hold about you or asking us to delete it. Email support@directos.app and we’ll respond within 30 days.
